We enjoyed a fantastic Sports Day on Friday 16th June. The weather was perfect, not too hot and not too cold, which provided perfect conditions for our sports day which took a new format this year.
Children were all encouraged to dress up in their house colours and competed in team events first. Later on in the afternoon, they completed in individual races down the track. A fun afternoon was had and the children were a credit with their persistence, resilience and encouragement of others.
Once the events had been completed, all scores from the afternoon were collated and our overall winners this year were Hereward. Congratulations!
After the races, food and games stalls were then opened up for families to stay on and enjoy themselves while also raising some money for the school. Overall we raised £774.03 which is an increase on sports day over the past two years.
